Hall and Grounds

Wivelsfield Village HallThe hall was opened in 1981 and is used by many village clubs and societies.

The main hall, or one of the smaller rooms, can be hired for meetings, parties, wedding receptions and the like. About 4 times a year the Parish Church hold a “Songs of Praise” event and early in December village clubs and societies join forces for the annual Carol Concert which is very much a highlight of the parish calendar.

The recreation ground offers an excellent children’s play area, a pavilion and facilities for cricket, football and stoolball. Since 2008 their have been very popular village days held on the village green.

Hall StageDuring 2010 a significant amount of work was carried out on the Village Hall including; full internal decoration, new kitchen in the Renshaw Room, new external Renshaw Room doors, new dark blue curtains throught, new stage floor and frontage, full restoration of the hall floor

The hall is bright and airy and has a good heating system, a large fully-equipped kitchen (with serving hatch) and a small separate bar area. Comfortable padded chairs and tables are also available. There is a modern PA system and a good stage with additional stage extensions.

The floor is a sprung wooden floor, and so is ideal for many occasions especially dancing amd numerous functions such as:-

-Weddings
-Birthday Parties
-Company Meetings
-Training Events
-Craft Fairs
-Club Meetings

There are clean toilets with disabled access and baby changing facilities. The car park offers ample car parking.
