Local Traders at Food Fair

The first food fair ran on Saturday 19th July 2008 and it was a huge success with over 500 people packing the village hall and then relaxing on the recreation ground afterwards.

Following on from this success, four food fairs are planned for 2010:

Sat 20th March
Sat 17th July (as part of Wivelsfield Village Day)
Sat 25th September
Sat 20th November.

Each food fair will run from 10am until 12:30pm except for the Village Day which will be 10am until 4:30pm.

At each of the food fairs about 20 local food & produce traders will come together in the village hall (or more out on the recreation ground on Village Day). On offer will be locally reared meats & poultry; eggs; fruit & vegetables; fresh bread & cakes; jams, jellies, honey, conserves, chutneys & pickles; fish; sausages; cheese; Fair Trade items; plants; ice-cream; wine & beer; and ready-meals.

Refreshments will be provided by the local support group for St Peter & St James Hospice.
